Project Information __ Rehabdesign were commissioned to design and illustrate a series of books that offer an easy introduction to so-called ‘popular’ philosophy. Filled with illustrated puzzles, quizzes, mental exercises and moral dilemmas, the three books were designed to give you an intellectual workout and get you thinking. Each book is broken down into four main chapters that outline the main schools of thought within particular fields of philosophy and give a brief introduction to some of the main philosophers associated with the topic. The aged look given to the jackets and internal pages along with the hand rendered typography are reminiscent of the Magritte painting from where the books take their name. The illustrations were also hand drawn to give the books a light, playful feel to make the subject appear more appealing and approachable to the casual philosophy reader.
